Taiwan Economic News reports that Apple will launch its newest tablet PCs next February, and a couple of Taiwanese suppliers of PC parts and components have joined the supply chain and will start delivery to Apple in December, according to industry sources.
According to TEN: “The tablet PC features a 9.6-inch screen, finger-touch function and built-in HSPDA (high speed download packet access) module, and adopts a P.A. SEMI processor chip and long lasting battery pack, selling for between US$799 and US$999.”
iTablet may be great for some people, but what I really want is a slightly bigger iPhone, just 1/2 to 3/4 inch wider and longer, but can still easily fit in a guy’s pocket or a woman’s purse, and can still make phone calls. At 9.6-inch, the iTablet will be too big to fit in a pocket or purse, but too small to do serious work. If I need to do serious work, I will take my 17″ laptop with a full size keyboard. If I am on the go, I need to stay connected and check on things, I want something that I can take in my pocket and make phone calls. I can’t imagine taking both an iPhone and an iTablet with me. I wonder what are the usage senarios for people for the iTablet or the small netbooks now poping up everywhere.
How do you use a netbook? What would you use the iTablet for? Do you want a bigger iPhone? Many friends I talked to all said they would buy a bigger iPhone. If there is enough of us wanting a bigger iPhone, it may happen. I have not upgraded to the iPhone 3GS because I am waiting for a bigger iPhone.
first!
Wow this is great! this is a must have! Cool gadget..
iPhone still my best bet, I love it and can’t live without it.. :p
I’ve enjoyed Apple for sometime, they produce products that is visually gorgeous while working like a champ. Alot of companies aren’t like that, it’s typically one or the other. Tech businesses don’t usually take aesthetics seriously like Apple. With that said I’ve got to say that I’m very excited about the upcoming Tablet. One thing I question though, is it too soon? I think that this product may be ahead of its time. What do you think?
